Hello everyone, CycleShaz here again. Thank you for joining me on another blog post, I really appreciate you taking time out of your day to read this.
So in the last blog I promised you that I would show you my new bike. Hence why today's blog post title mentions 'The First Chapter' (clever right?). However, you may be wondering why the title also mentions 'And Last'?
Well, read on and find out!
So just to bring you up to date as to why I sold my previous road bike; to put it simply, it gave me saddle pain. I don't think I can really say more. It's not something I could have bared with any longer. I believe that after 4 years, it was the right time to let it go. Not easy of course, but for the better. (Well, I did say more but let's just glance over that.)
Now for the fun part!
So here is my new mountain bike:

Here's the technical details about the bike:
....
Yeah, I'm not going to bore you with that. It's just a (very) cheap £100 bike from Argos. At this point, I thought it any bike would be miles more comfortable than the road bike I had and oh boy ... it was!
Here comes your typical bike review:
Yeah, I'm also not going to bore you with that.
To again put it simply, it was fantastic! This MTB was my first one ever since I was 11 years old, so yes, it brought back many memories. When I rode on it for the first time, it felt so comfortable. Gone were the days of pain in my hands. I felt free again! Nothing but praise for this bike, it was magnificent.
But I'm selling it.
Now, you may be asking "Shaz, but you literally just bought the bike???"
Yes the bike was good, but it wasn't great. It's not a bike that I can use for long periods of time without getting tired. Don't get me wrong, it was still much better than the road bike, but it just wasn't the icing on the cake for my needs.
That's why this is the last chapter. It's because I'm returning the bike.
So if I'm selling my road bike and now my new MTB, what am I going to get instead?
I'm glad you asked!
I've decided that I'm going to buy a new electric bike. It's going to be my first e-bike but I firmly believe it will help me in many aspects such as being able to travel further with less effort. Now, is this cheating? Probably. But at this point in my life, I think it's certainly going to be worth it especially the physical pain I've gone through in the last year. Right now I'm keeping tight lipped about any more details because that's for a future blog of course!
To summarise, the new MTB was a bike I'm really happy to have experienced for its comfort, but I believe that it's actually best to go big. It will help very much for efficiency and longevity.
But for the new Mountain Bike, the chapter started and ended here.
I honestly can't wait to get the new ebike and show it to you all. I'm sure it'll be so much fun.
The future is certainly exciting!
For now, thank you for reading this blog and I'm looking forward to sharing many more adventures that are yet to come.
Until next time.
